When it comes to health vitality, call it what you want one of the key meaures that we often take for granted it ENERGY. It can be taken for granted because we assume our body will do what it needs to do to provice us with sufficient energy for the demands we place upn it each day. But what if it doesn’t? When then?

There are so many factors that dicate how well our bodies can produce energy.

Sleep

If we don’t get enough quality sleep we will soon feel the effects and that drained feeling rather than leaping out of bed each morning starts to become the norm rather than the exception.

Stress

If we are in a constant state of stress from work load, long hours and very little chance of a break from it all we can tip over the edge and our body’2 ability to bounce back is compromised. We need time to recover each day. Also during our day we need sufficient breaks to allow our brains abd bodies to refuel and recharge or defragment so we can go again for another block of work.

Insulin

If we become insensitive to insulin our fat storgage hormone which is important for allowing gluscoe into our cells from our blood stream then it cannot reach the cells it needs to to power up our body and give the brain the fuel it needs to be creative and productive for the whole day. Watching our diet then is a key element to remaining sensititve to insulin.

Nutrition

If we eat well we generally feel well. We are getting the balance of both macro and micro nutirients into our body so it can them make all the necessary chemical changes to our food and use it to make nutro trasmitters – for example, among many many other things. If we starve it of key elements in our diet we risk setting ourselves up for deficiencies in our body which can only go unaddressed for a short while until bigger symptoms prevail and force us to take notice. (If we’re prepared to listen).

Exercise

Ever done a workout or been for a walk or run and felt MORE energised afterwards rather than depleted? This is exactly what you want from exercise – an increase in energy levels. If you are getting the opposite then something else is going on and worth investigating. A lack of ecxercise is linked to all cause mortality and many metabolic issues which are readily reversable if you are prepared to take action.
