Well I do because it tells me what people are putting into their search box when they end up coming to my website! That's nothing particularly special but I love the fact that I now know what's on people's minds when they are looking for health advice or support - so this blog is about PUTTING ON WEIGHT!!!
Yes we live in a society that is ever advancing in its levels of obesity. We know that from about the age of 30 we will naturally lose muscle mass from our bodies which means our energy needs will reduce. As our energy needs reduce we have 2 choices if we want to remain the same weight on the scales.
1. We need to eat less to stay the same weight OR
2. We need to challenge our muscles so they don't shrink in size (sarcopenia) and we can continue to eat at the same level to which we have become accustomed.
There are some simple calculations you can do to help you get this right without over eating but first it is worth understanding a little more about how we get to that number first.
