We all want our kids to be the best they can be at their chosen sport.
At Fit 4 Life we customise a training and lifestyle plan especially for teenagers who want to excel at sport. We like to keep it simple but leave no stone unturned to help improve both the mental and physical abilities when it comes to their chosen sport.
What will my teenager get out of this?
This is very much an open question as it depends on the child, sport and what their goals are. Some of the goals that we have worked on before are:
Strength and Speed Training
Balance and Agility Training
Fitness and Endurance Training
All of these types of training will enable you son or daughter to be able to focus longer, have the strength and speed to push further and have the agility to move freely and quickly with a reduced risk of injury! We will teach them the importance of stretching, how to lift weights correctly, how to use their own body weight to build strength and the importance of eating the right fuel before and after a game!
What sports particularly benefit this type of training?
Any sport can be improved upon given the right skills, strength and focus but most teens want to excel in their team sports. We have helped footballers, netballers, touch rugby players and hockey players. It all comes down to them wanting to best the best they can be.
I would just like to thank you for playing a big part in me progressing my (football) game over the last year and a bit. I have got a lot stronger and have gone from being on the bench last year in my age group team to starting every game in the premier men’s reserves, heavily due to my physicality and size improving.
You have taught me a lot about how to manage my body and you have always made sense of why we do each and every exercise by explaining how it benefits me.
