The toga party went well I was offered many jelly shots by the hostess and turned them all down. Water or ginger beer only!
I had a dream two nights ago, which of course is real at the time. I was offered a shot glass of what I thought was a fizzy water (all I've been drinking pretty much) but as it went down the person who passed it to me laughed and was very happy that they had tricked me into drinking a vodka and tonic - why I didn't smell it first I don't know, it was a dream. My first thoughts were - damn it I'll have to start again. Huge relief when I woke up and realised I was still doing OK just days to go.
I am pleased I have done this challenge. As mentioned in earlier blogs it has been mostly a mental thing once the first week or so had passed. From Friday March 1st I will allow myself to have a beer or two and plan on drinking socially and at weekends but keeping the weekdays clear of alcohol. There will always be exceptions but on the whole that's the plan. I read this week that the liver needs at least two consecutive days to clear the alcohol and have a rest from processing, as it's a busy organ performing many takes for the body and it has to have time to rest.
Well Dry July I may pass on - others can do it and I will share my 28 day experience to help them along the way. I would recommend it. Sleep has been good quality, muscle mass has definitely increased (2.5kg's), body fat I haven't measured but I would say its about the same if not a little less. Energy levels about the same, but very fresh in the mornings.
Let me know if you did Feb Fast there is a Facebook page dedicated to it. Good luck.
